FOFFA Bikes will be supplying a number of bikes for the Green Man festival team to use prior to and during the event to reduce the amount of time vehicles are used on site. Green Man is the largest contemporary music festival in Wales and prides itself on reducing emissions. During the festival bikes will be available back stage for artists and bands to use.
‘We’ve been a fan of the festival for years’ says Deborah Thomas, FOFFA’s marketing manager. She then goes on to explain, ‘we thought what a fabulous opportunity to help lower the environmental impact of the event as well as having some fun, I also think we may, may, be the first bicycle manufacture to partner with a music festival in the UK’.
‘We’ve been pushing different ways to reduce our carbon footprint for years’ explains Fiona Steward, MD of Green Man, ‘partnering up with Foffa to get our staff (and maybe artists!) cycling round site rather than using buggies is a great initiative and one that we hope we can expand on in coming years!’
Green Man takes place in Crickhowell from August 18th to 21st. Belle & Sebastian, James Blakes, Laura Marling and Wild Beasts headline.
